I am a Full Professor in Telecommunications Engineering at Federal Institute of Santa Catarina, campus São José, Brazil.

From December 2011 to December 2015 I was Director of the Department of Information and Communication Technology at the Federal Institute of Santa Catarina. In 2016 I was a visiting researcher at the School of Computing Science, Newcastle University, UK. Since January 2021 I am the coordinator of the technical committee for identity management at RNP.
